Mini GT Brand Spotlight – July 2026
Share
If you collect 1:64 scale diecast models, there's one brand that consistently leads the conversation: Mini GT. Month after month, they deliver detailed, officially licensed models at prices that make collecting genuinely accessible — and July 2026 is shaping up to be one of their most exciting release periods yet.
At Gadsby's Collectables, Mini GT is our biggest brand by far, with over 990 models in our collection spanning road cars, motorsport, Kaido House customs, and now some truly special limited releases. Here's why Mini GT deserves its place at the top of every UK collector's wishlist.
What Makes Mini GT Stand Out?
Mini GT has earned its reputation by doing something deceptively simple: producing accurate, well-finished 1:64 scale models at an affordable price point — typically between £13 and £25. Each model features proper rubber tyres, detailed interior printing, realistic body lines, and officially licensed designs.
What separates them from cheaper brands is consistency. Whether you're picking up a Nissan Skyline or a Lamborghini Huracán, the quality remains reliably high across the range.
Highlights from the Latest Mini GT Releases
James Bond Collection — Lotus Esprit & Citroën 2CV
Mini GT have just announced two iconic additions to their James Bond lineup, both due February 2027. The 1977 Lotus Esprit S1 from The Spy Who Loved Me is available in English, Italian, Hungarian, and Japanese blister packaging — a must for any Bond fan or Lotus collector. Alongside it, the yellow Citroën 2CV from For Your Eyes Only is equally charming and a brilliant conversation piece on any display shelf.
Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) Z-Tune
The R34 GT-R is one of the most sought-after cars in diecast collecting, and Mini GT's take on the ultra-rare Z-Tune variant in silver metallic is exactly the kind of release collectors pre-order immediately. Only 19 Z-Tune cars were ever built in real life, making this a particularly special model. Available in standard and blister packaging.
BMW M4 (G82) CS — Frozen Isle of Man Green
A stunning colour on a stunning car. The 2024 BMW M4 CS in Frozen Isle of Man Green is one of the most visually striking Mini GT releases this year. Available in right-hand drive, left-hand drive, and blister packaging options — ideal for UK collectors who prefer the correct RHD specification.
Subaru Impreza WRC98 — Rally Monte Carlo
Rally fans take note. The 1999 Subaru Impreza WRC98 in full Monte Carlo rally livery is a brilliant addition to any motorsport collection. Mini GT's attention to livery detail on their rally cars is exceptional.
The Camel Trophy Series — A Growing Grail Collection
One of Mini GT's most ambitious ongoing releases is the Camel Trophy series, recreating iconic Land Rovers and Range Rovers from the legendary off-road expeditions of the 1980s and 90s. Models include Range Rovers from the Sumatra 1981 expedition and Land Rover Defenders from Borneo 1985 — each with correct team number markings and country-specific details.
These are the kind of models that attract not just diecast collectors but also off-road and adventure vehicle enthusiasts. They're selling quickly, so pre-ordering is strongly advised.
